Before turning more fully towards painting and photography, Chris built a career telling stories through moving images.
He worked as an editor for major UK broadcast companies, including on the award-winning documentary series The Prize. From 2016 onwards, he produced sports documentaries and short films in Morocco, Iceland, Jordan, France and the UK—often following endurance athletes through remote landscapes and demanding events.
Recent films have reached audiences worldwide through terrestrial television and airline programming. His wider work includes stories about remarkable people, wildlife and the character of West Cork, as well as independent productions through Cojo Films.
Chris moved to West Cork in 2016. Its landscape, people and creative community have become central to his work. His paintings range from thoughtful monochrome studies to forceful colour, loose portraiture and abstraction. Faces and eyes are recurring subjects: recognisable forms that can hold emotion while also becoming shapes, marks and fields of colour. His work has been exhibited and sold in Cork City and at several locations across West Cork.
Photography is a parallel practice, covering endurance sport, fashion shoots, portraiture, landscape and pets, in colour and monochrome. Chris has also written for sports publications, including Outdoor Fitness Magazine.
He now lives and works on a one-acre site in the West Cork countryside. The house was designed to sit quietly within its surroundings and use sustainable energy wherever possible. Parts of the land remain deliberately wild—a space for nature, observation and the slower attention that feeds creative work.
